1) KAP is happy to institute an interest free loan scheme of up to Rs. 2 lakhs to deserving graduates, who are interested in pursuing overseas studies. Candidates must possess (though exception can be made for the exceptionally deserving) a first class degree and be admitted to a foreign university.
The students will themselves obtain the loan from major private or public bank up to Rs. 2 lakhs. KAP will pay interest due on the loan directly to the bank. The student would be required to pay back the loan so taken to the bank within 3 years from the grant of the loan. Initially this scheme will sponsor five students. Application marked Education Loan may be sent to: The Khudabadi Amil Panchayat of Bombay, 1-A Sindhu House, Nanabhai Lane, Hutatma Chowk, Fort, Mumbai 400001. Applications can also be sent by email to: firstname.lastname@example.org
2) A few years ago, the Khudabadi Amil Panchayat published the book Those Amazing Amils. This book highlighted the success achieved by some Amil families through hard work and dedication against high odds.
This book was well received by the Amil community. Encouraged by this response, KAP wishes to bring out another book which covers the success of the entire Amil community on an inclusive basis, so that no one feels left out.
We will be commissioning an eminent Sindhi journalist who will supervise the writing of the book. We respectfully request you to pass on to us details (write up, photographs, etc) of member/s of your family who have struggled and achieved success. We shall return all material after scanning it digitally.
We have listed below 37 Amil Surnames. Please let us know if we have missed out any Amil surname.
